Edwin Hewitt,L.Ac.
Edwin Hewitt is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Detox Specialist received his B.S. in Health Sciences from George Washington University and his M.S. in Acupuncture from the New York College of Health Professionals. After a 20 year career in the US Navy and Marine Corps as a medic, Edwin went on to work as a Cardio-pulmonary technician for Santara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk VA. Missing his first love, military service, Edwin went on to work for Military Sealift Command (MSC) in San Diego for six years most of which was spent in Asia where he was exposed to East Asian Medicine. Edwin’s resignation from MSC came about from an injury and it was his use of acupuncture that helped him manage his pain.
Edwin enrolled in the Master’s degree program of Oriental Medicine in 2004 and graduated with honors in 2008 and has been practicing ever since. He specializes in pain management, gastrointestinal disorders, auto immune issues, neurological conditions, PTSD, diabetes, and weight loss management. He especially loves to combine his military and medical careers in service to active and retired military personnel. Edwin comes to us from Long Island, New York and is happy to serve the Baltimore community.
